Host Based Security System (HBSS) Positions
- HBSS Administrator

These positions are available in Ft. Huachuca, Arizona.
HBSS Administrator
A full-time position as a HBSS Administrator performing HBSS global and group administration on multiple designated networks (internal development, SIPRNET and S-DREN) and HBSS Intrusion Protection System (HIPS) administration. Candidates should and 2-3 years experience in system or security administration or HBSS administration.
Duties Include:
- Creates and evaluates HBSS Policies
- Conducts Policy Audits
- Prepares, develops and maintains HBSS Policy evaluations.
- Perform SQL Server administration and Windows Server Administration.
- Assists other departments, directorates, and agencies with HBSS-related questions and issues.
- Identifies resources, hardware, and software requirements to support HBSS administration.
- Develops and maintains a HBSS Lab Architecture to support ePO Servers and Clients with connectivity to test POR in a Virtual Machine (VM) environment.
- Integrates separate HBSS ePolicy Orchestrator servers with associated required modules into the SEC IFS development and sustainment environment to allow development, evaluation, integration and post-test validation of policies on SECRET, SCI and DREN networks.
- Obtains latest HBSS policies published by appropriate agencies (CTSF, PEO C3T, etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI access or be eligible for SCI access.
- Have completed Security+ certification or complete certification within 6 months of the start date.
- Have completed the DISA HBSS Admin and Advanced Admin courses or complete the courses within 6 weeks of start date.
Test Engineer
A full-time position as the primary Test Engineer supporting HBSS testing on SEC ISFD sustained Program of Record (POR) systems. Candidates should have 2-3 years experience as a Test Engineer and experience using automated test tools. Experience with the following systems is desired: DCGS-A 3.1 P3/P5/_Rx, DCGS-A Fixed 2.3/2.3.1; Analysis and Control Element (ACE) All-Source Fusion System (AFS) Block II, Counter-Intelligence; Human-Intelligence Automated Reporting and Collection System (CHARCS); Digital Topographic Support System (DTSS) Base; Engineering Field Planning, Reconnaissance, Surveying, and Sketching Set (US Army) (ENFIRE); All Source Analysis System (ASAS) - Single Source).
Duties Include:
- Prepares, develops and maintains test procedures and documentation to verify interoperability between POR systems and HBSS policies.
- Coordinate test/integration activities.
- Coordinate security test/scan/compliance activities.
- Conducts testing for all supported systems and PORs
- Writes test reports.
- Identify or coordinate POR corrective actions as required.
- Develops automated testing scripts using TestComplete and eggPlant automated functional, load and usability testing suites.
- Identifies resources, hardware, and software requirements to support HBSS testing.
- Develops and maintains a HBSS Lab Architecture to support ePO Servers and Clients with connectivity to test POR in a Virtual Machine (VM) environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI access or be eligible for SCI access.

Support Engineer
A full-time position assisting the Test Engineer and HBSS Administrators as needed. Candidates should have 1-2 years experience as a system administrator or in systems support. When not involved in tests or assisting in HBSS administration.
Duties Include:
- Monitors the DISA HBSS Source Repositories on NIPRNET.
- Populates internal IFS ePO Servers and Master Repositories with newly released packages retrieved from the DISA HBSS Source repository.
- Provides Quality Assurance (QA) and Configuration Management (CM) support to the team.
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret clearance with SCI access or be eligible for SCI access.
- Have completed Security+ certification or complete certification within 6 months of the start date.
- Have completed the DISA HBSS Admin and Advanced Admin courses or complete the courses within 6 weeks of start date.
Desired Qualifications – All Three HBSS Positions
- Windows Server 2008, Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 Administration experience
- LINUX/Solaris Administration experience
- SQL Server 2008 Administration experience
- Virtualization development and administration experience with VMware software
- McAfee HBSS Certification
General Information
- All positions are at Ft Huachuca, Arizona supporting the Software Engineer Center (SEC) Intelligence Fusion Systems Directorate (IFSD). A current TS/SCI security clearance is required to access the Ragatz Hall SCIF facilities.
- All positions include CONUS travel to locations such as Virginia, Texas, Maryland, and potential OCONUS travel locations. Applicants will be required to have or obtain a US passport for OCONUS travel. Travel is estimated to potentially be up to 20% of the time.
- All positions must be in compliance with DoD 8570.01 IA Certification requirements.
