Peter Dyson Peter Dyson — President and CEO — is a co-founder of Modus Operandi. He has more than 25 years of experience in leading the development and application of advanced computing technologies to solve the complex problems of commercial and government clients. His vision for Modus Operandi is to provide clients with the enterprise information technologies needed to compete effectively in today’s dynamic, information-based world. He holds a B.S. from Washington University and an M.B.A. from Florida Institute of Technology.
Kent Bimson
Dr. Kent Bimson — Vice President, Research — Dr. Bimson is focused on achieving Modus Operandi’s research goals that contribute to the overall growth of the company’s intellectual property portfolio and the delivery of high value to customers. During the course of his 30-year career, he has held a number of executive positions – including Chief Scientist – at leading Fortune-500 companies that include SAIC and Lockheed Martin. For eight years, he has also been an independent consultant specializing in the area of semantic technologies. He has held faculty positions in Linguistics and Computer Science at the University of California, Davis and California State University, Sacramento. Dr. Bimson holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a M.S. in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento.
Eanes George Eanes — Vice President, Business Development — George Eanes' primary focus is on business development and sales activities spanning both new and existing customer relationships. George has a broad market background covering federal government, commercial, and international business. George came most recently from Tybrin Corporation. Previously, he was at FYI, a small local software technology company, and prior to that was in business development at Harris Corporation for five years. Before Harris, George worked in both the U.S. and overseas at several subsidiaries of TECO and as the managing director of Hobart Brothers operations in Singapore. George has a B.B.A. in Business Management from the University of Texas.
Mark Heileman Dr. Mark Heileman — Vice President, C2 Situational Awareness — Dr. Heileman is responsible for the pursuit and technical execution of sponsored R&D projects with existing and new sponsoring organizations. Previously he was the Vice President of Sales Engineering for Elisar Software Corporation, a start-up software company focused on digital rights enforcement. His engineering career spans i2 Technologies, United Space Alliance, Rockwell International, and Harris Corporation. Dr. Heileman has a B.S. from the University of Florida, two masters degrees from Florida Institute of Technology, and earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems from the University of Central Florida. He is a registered professional engineer in Florida.
Richard Hull Dr. Richard Hull — Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist — As the lead executive for new technology efforts, Dr. Hull spearheads the company’s innovation and research in the areas of semantic interoperability, semantic analysis of structured and unstructured data, and knowledge representation. Dr. Hull has over 20 years of government and industry experience as a research scientist and software developer. He most recently founded Axontologic, Inc. and has held various positions with Elagent Corporation, Merck & Co., Inc. and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). He holds a Ph.D. and a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Central Florida.
Don Jenkins Don Jenkins — Vice President, ISR Programs — As VP of ISR Programs, Don Jenkins leads corporate growth initiatives with strategic programs in the ISR market segment. He also has executive responsibility for setting the business vision and product capability requirements for the development of Modus Operandi’s Wave ISR Suite. He spent over 26 years as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Army with responsibility for Intelligence, Security, and Aviation Systems. His assignments included Battalion Commander, Group Commander, and Director of Intelligence and Security, with responsibilities for nationally critical ISR platforms, including the Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS), Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL), and the Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS). After retiring from the Army, he helped lead two fast-growing companiesRadiance Technologies and IRIS (now part of ArgonST). At those companies Don worked closely with a number of U.S. government agencies, including the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), the U.S. Border Patrol, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Intelligence and Security Command—US Army (INSCOM). He has an M.P.A. from Shippensburg University.
Chuck Keuthan Chuck Keuthan — Vice President, Finance & Operations — Charles Keuthan returned to Modus Operandi in May 2004 after spending three years at a $30M distribution company of nutritional supplement products as the controller. He performed the same role with Modus Operandi the prior thirteen years and has spent fifteen years in academics, instructing at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. He is a two-time graduate from the Florida Institute of Technology, attaining a B.S. in Management Science and an M.B.A. As Vice President of Finance and Operations, he must balance the needs of a high-growth company and ensure continued efficiency of operations without sacrificing the company’s reputation of outstanding technical ability and quality customer service.
Alan McCutchen Alan McCutchen — Vice President, Products — Alan McCutchen has over 20 years of experience in software product development, engineering leadership, and technical sales and business development. Alan is responsible for product management for our Wave Exploitation Framework products and provides sales engineering leadership serving as the focal point for delivering operations/ engineering team support. He served as CTO at DigitalOwl, an innovative start-up focused upon enterprise information management and Digital Rights Management software. He pioneered the patent-pending design and development of PKI-protected document transformation and delivery for eBooks on Palm OS devices. Prior to DigitalOwl, he served as Principal Systems Architect and Sr. Technical Sales Engineer for DataViews Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface development tools. He has a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Auburn University.
Eric Root Eric Root — Vice President, Engineering — Eric Root will oversee Modus Operandi’s engineering department, including the areas of staffing, career growth, and training. Eric has nearly 20 years of diverse software engineering and project management experience, primarily supporting federal government projects. Most recently, he was the Senior Program Manager for Science Applications International Corporation’s (SAIC) OneSAF program, a U.S. Army’s government open source simulation program being used for training, analysis and experimentation throughout the Department of Defense. During his tenure at SAIC, he held several program management, technical leadership and software engineering positions. Prior to working at SAIC, Eric was employed as a research scientist at the University of Central Florida (UCF) Institute for Simulation and Training. He also worked as a graduate researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Eric holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from UCF and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Mathematics from Missouri Western State University. He is also a member of the Central Florida Project Management Institute.
