Former FPL Power Generation President C.O. Woody Joins Modus Operandi Board

MELBOURNE, Florida, March 4, 2002 ­–Modus Operandi, Inc. announced today the appointment of Mr. C. O. Woody, former President of Florida Power & Light’s Power Generation Division, to its Board of Directors. Mr. Woody began his career in 1956 in FPL’s Miami Beach Plant. During his more than four decades with FPL, C.O. participated in a technological explosion which included the commercialization of nuclear energy which he became deeply involved in at the national level.

C.O.’s position when he retired in 1999 was President, where he was responsible for FPL’s non-nuclear power generation facilities, which included more than 16,000 megawatts. He was involved at the corporate level in FPL’s quality implementation, including FPL’s winning the Deming Quality Award in 1989. C.O. holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami and is a graduate of the Harvard Business Program for Management Development.
