Modus Operandi Wave® Version 2.4 Pushes Semantic Interoperability

MELBOURNE, Florida, Sept. 5, 2006 – Modus Operandi, a leading software and information integration technology company, today announced the general availability of Wave® Version 2.4. Wave’s semantic integration tools enhance the BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform™ with the capability to unify information across the enterprise at the semantic level, adding meaning to data and resolving data conflicts.

This new release of Wave provides enhanced visualization tools to navigate the integrated data layer’s ontology. An ontology is a representation of domain knowledge in the form of concepts, relationships, and rules. The new Wave View allows the ontology concepts to be walked by traversing relationships from one instance to another. By drilling down through individual concepts, instance data from integrated data sources can be examined, filtered and selected in real time. Another new visual tool, the Wave Watch runtime monitor, actively checks and reports the availability of data services. These Wave visualization tools simplify data layer development by locating any unmapped concepts and relationships at a glance. All of the new Wave 2.4 design time and runtime capabilities are integrated with the BEA AquaLogic Data Services Platform and WebLogic™ Workshop.
