Modus Operandi Awarded $425,000 Project to Provide the U.S. Air Force with Expanded Intelligence Analysis Capabilities

Project will enable intelligence analysts to efficiently process significantly larger amounts of raw data

MELBOURNE, FL, March 10, 2010 – Modus Operandi, a leading software and information integration technology company, has been awarded a $425,000 project by the Air Force Research Laboratory to provide expanded intelligence processing and analysis capabilities used by U.S. Air Force organizations. These capabilities can significantly improve intelligence analysis provided by an existing application called WebTHREADS, an acronym for Web-based Threat HUMINT (HUMan INTelligence) Reporting Evaluation Analysis and Display System.

The "Decision Explanation Engine Platform (DEEP)" Phase II project, conducted as an enhancement, will extend Modus Operandi’s Wave® Exploitation Framework capabilities to improve WebTHREADS’ filtering, parsing, and persisting of large amounts of intelligence data.

The original DEEP phase II SBIR developed technologies that retrieve relevant information for decision support applications at the U.S. 45th Space Wing. In this enhancement to the DEEP Phase II contract, Modus Operandi will leverage the capabilities already developed in Phase II to build and deploy a set of applications that provide the required intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities across much larger amounts of data.
