Modus Operandi Software Engineering Team Receives U.S. Army CECOM Quality Team of the Year Award
MELBOURNE, Florida--Modus Operandi, a leading business and information technology solutions company, is honored to be the recipient of the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Quality Team of the Year award for 2004. The Guardrail Guardian Eagle Project team, which includes Modus Operandi, the U.S. Army CECOM Software Engineering Center and L-3 Communications ILEX Systems, was recognized at the CECOM awards ceremony in Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, for their "superior technical ability, exceptional contributions towards the CECOM mission of ensuring readiness of deployed systems, and the extremely high significance of the Guardian Eagle upgrade to Guardrail Common Sensor System #4 in the continuing Global War on Terrorism."
The Guardrail Common Sensor system is the Army's premier airborne communications intelligence and electronic intelligence system for providing the critical "deep-look" into the battlefield essential to both tactical and strategic decision making. It consists of airborne intelligence collection and location systems with ground-processing, analysis and reporting capabilities. Guardrail has been flying for over 25 years with technology upgrades relevant to the changing threat. The Guardian Eagle upgrade will greatly assist the U.S. Army's ability to support the Global War on Terrorism. Modus Operandi is a subcontractor to L-3 Communications ILEX Systems on the Guardian Eagle project.
