Tony Barrett Joins Modus Operandi As Senior Business Development Manager

Modus Operandi, a leading software and information integration technology company, has named Tony Barrett to the new position of senior manager of business development. His primary focus will be on business development and sales activities spanning both new and existing customer relationships.

Mr. Barrett comes to Modus Operandi with extensive experience in the military intelligence analysis arena, having served as a professional intelligence officer and expert analyst in a U.S. Marines Corps career that spanned more than 22 years. He recently retired as Deputy Director, Distributed Common Ground/Surface System (DCGS) multi-service team Office (DMO).

During his distinguished career in the Marines, Mr. Barrett held numerous operational and program management leadership positions around the world, earning multiple awards for both team and personal achievement. His most recent position was helping to lead the DCGS team at Hanscom AFB, where he oversaw the administration of the multi-service acquisition team that designed, procured and integrated all elements of the DCGS Integration Backbone. While in that office, Mr. Barrett supervised the execution of a $19.3 million budget.

Prior to that position, Mr. Barrett was an intelligence officer at the 1st Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, where he managed a 25 person intelligence section that created more than 3,000 intelligence products. He also previously worked as a commanding officer in the Defense Language Institute and in the Production and Analysis Company.

Mr. Barrett holds a bachelor’s degree in American history from Boston University.
