Modus Operandi, located in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. Note – All applicants applying for this job opening must be US citizens and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.


Job Description

The successful candidate will possess Object Oriented software development skills and full software systems development life cycle experience, such as Agile. The selected team member will participate in the development and fielding of software applications in the Federal Government or commercial community.

Required Skills

  • Currently acquiring a Bachelor in Computer Science or related field of study
  • Working knowledge of Software Development using standard IDEs (Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ) and tools (JIRA, Git)
  • Working knowledge in Java, JavaScript, or HTML
  • Agile Software Development concepts and practice
  • Sound software engineering concepts and practice (Object Oriented, UML, CM, and Design Patterns)

Desired Skills

  • REST/API knowledge and experience
  • Database development experience
  • JavaScript framework experience (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Familiarity with applied data fusion, event processing, text analysis, and/or semantic analysis
  • Familiarity with multi-level security environments
  • Working knowledge of SOA and Cloud computing
