Job Description

As a Software Test Engineer/Technical Writer at Modus Operandi, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions. This position demands a blend of software testing expertise, knowledge of DevOps practices, and the ability to produce clear, comprehensive technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on the requirements and specifications to ensure software quality.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, emphasizing containerization and orchestration with Kubernetes.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify, replicate, and document bugs and defects.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine software requirements and ensure testability.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and maintenance within a DevOps culture.
  • Create and maintain clear, concise technical documentation, including test reports, user manuals, and system documentation.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Three+ years proven experience in software testing and quality assurance, including writing test plans, test cases, and automated tests.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, with hands-on experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear and effective documentation.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality output.
  • Experience or familiarity with Platform One is a plus but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
