Software Architect Journeyman

Position: Software Architect - Journeyman - (This position is available at Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD) 

Modus Operandi, headquartered in Melbourne, FL, is seeking a motivated Software Architect-Journeyman, to join our engineering team at APG.  Note – All applicants applying for this job opening must be US citizens and have a current Secret clearance.   

Job Description and Responsibilities:

The SWE will provide functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems. The SWE's full time duty location will be onsite at APG.

Must have experience in the following:

  • Interacting with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
  • Participate in the development of test strategies.
  • Solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.
  • SW Dev & Integration background
  • DevSecOps: Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, CI/CD
  • Kubernetes: Container lifecycle, create & customize
  • Scripting: PowerShell, Batch
  • Front-end Web Design
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
  • Three (3) years' experience within the last 5 years.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
