Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) consortiums
TReX – Training & Readiness Accelerator—This consortium accelerates the development and delivery of prototypes, focusing primarily on modeling, simulation, and training (MS&T) technologies to enhance Warfighter readiness. It provides the U.S. Government with an agile mechanism to iterate and refine critical training technologies.
AMTC – Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium—This consortium drives the rapid development and integration of aviation and guided missile technologies, including advanced manufacturing techniques, to meet the requirements of the U.S. Army and the DoD. It focuses on combining capabilities in vertical lift and armaments.
NEST – Naval Energetics Systems & Technologies—This program addresses the most significant energetics-related challenges for the Navy, Marine Corps, and the DoD, covering propulsion systems, warheads, ammunition, and other energetic materials for naval and joint forces. It fosters collaboration for rapid prototyping of energetic solutions.
DOTC – DoD Ordnance Technology Consortium—Working in partnership with NAC, its mission is to advance and transition ordnance systems, subsystems, and component technologies to enhance the Warfighter's lethality, survivability, and combat effectiveness. It facilitates R&D and technology demonstrations for armaments used across all services and defense agencies.
NAC – National Armaments Consortium—As the largest collaborative organization working with the DoD to develop armament technologies, the NAC is dedicated to advancing armaments and related weapons systems, protective gear, and technologies for national security. It often serves as the industrial and academic component for other ordnance-focused OTAs like DOTC and NEST.
CWMD Consortium (Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction)—This consortium focuses on rapid prototyping and maturing efforts related to countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and addressing Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards. It works to develop detection systems, protective equipment, and situational awareness technologies for federal agencies.
